Feminine Friday:Nail Tutorial

For today's Feminine Friday I have a nail tutorial for you! I have seen a design like this somewhere. Either through the blog world or on Pinterest;) By the way....I believe every woman in the U.S.A. is addicted to Pinterest now. I know I am! So anyway,I'm naming this tutorial Notebook nails. The name would better fit if I had used white as the base, but I liked the teal better:)
 SUPPLIES:
Wet n Wild megalast salon nail color-teal and comes with a manicurve pro brush.
French manicure white polish-with a fine tipped brush
Red nail polish-I used color workshop. Use the standard brush or you could use a toothpick.
Step 1: Start off with your base color. Mine was the teal in this case. Make sure your nails are fully covered and dry before you move on to the next step.
 Above:WetnWild megalast. Gr8t stuff!
Step 2: Use your fine tip brush and paint on your white lines. Three lines on each finger.
Step 3:Using your standard nail brush, make your heart with your red polish. Paint two dots and then use the side of the brush to finish out the bottom of the heart.
Hope you guys enjoyed this!

EZBun, Dr. Quinn inspired hairstyle

Well, as of late I have been trying to do some old fashioned hair styles from scratch. I suppose this could be partially because I have been watching my season four of Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman. She honestly has such BEAUTIFUL hair! So I thought I would show you how to do this style. I guess I'll call it the Yo Yo Bun.

This is the EZ Bun hair tool. Their website is here.
I used the brown one for this hair style because it blends with my hair color.
Pull your hair through the hole, twist it upwards, and pull down.
When you reach the ends of your hair, roll it up.

Then wrap it up:)
To show you the top of the style, I used my sister's doll since mine was already done for a graduation.;) (sigh....yet another one.) Divide the top of your hair into two sections. I only did one section on the doll, but to do your hair like mine use these steps on both sides.
Twist the section around and round.

Secure it with bobby pins.

I humped my bangs on top(before I started) and added a flower. It looks very antiquish don't you think??;)

I mentioned that this was inspired by Dr. Quinn, so I thought I would provide a picture:)
If you don't know what that show is, its about a woman doctor who moves out west and starts a clinic. I would like to say that, although I enjoy this show I do not approve of some of the episodes. Some of the things that are said or done I do not consider acceptable and I skip over them.
I hope y'all all have a great day!
Emily
P.s.- The picture is not the hairstyle that inspired me,but I couldn't find the one I was looking for;)

Feminine Friday: Retro

I haven't done one of these posts in forever because I've been busy on Fridays. Anyways, the theme today is Retro. I guess its themed around the 50's to the 80's maybe??? I'm not sure.

It used to be that when women went driving,it would be dusty so they would wear scarves and glasses. I have always thought that the style is so cute! I have almost wore this look to go out driving in my car! Pretty sure everyone would think I'm a nut,but I would still like to try:)
70's beads....love them! I looked forever for some and finally found them in Kmart at the beach.

I found this phone in Goodwill. It lights up green and orange when it rings! I love it!

I decided to try an 80's hairstyle and outfit......

 POOFY bangs....
 Big,crazy earrings....
 Long pearls...
and a BIG beehive bump! All in all it turned out pretty well. I borrowed the sweater and added some pink lipstick. Maybe if I ever attend a costume party, I'll dress like this:D
Wanna do a Feminine Friday???Great! Just copy the picture and put it at the top of your post. Then link back here to me. That's it!
Have a great Friday!

Feminine Friday:Just Random=D

Hellooooooooooooooo everyone..........Well this post was not planned whatsoever. O well, what are vacations for?? Well, this week I have a make-up tutorial for you plus I need some advice on my necklaces.
Sniff:( blonde hair:( This make-up looks really good with blonde hair, but I think its pretty for anyone=) The things you need are in the pictures below=)
I have absolutely no idea where the glitter roller came from. I have had it since before I could wear make-up:) It is absolutely a girl's best friend=) The pink eyeshadow is just a cheap version from a dollar store I believe. The other I got at a store in the mall. Sorry bout the skull, I like the color;)
 Of course besides the eyeshadow there's,mascara(the cheapest,waterproof kind I could find),foundation(again,cheap),powder(I'm sorry,I'm a cheapskate!),small brush,large brush,eyeliner,blush,bubble-gum-pink lipstick,lip-gloss,and an eyelash curler.
OK,you start with foundation powder and blush. Blush took me forever to figure out. I guess it just depends on the shape of your face. I use a blush brush and brush it across my cheek bones and blend it up into my temples. This is suppose to make your face longer or something like that:)
I normally put my eye shadow on before eyeliner and eyeliner before mascara. I put the aqua eye shadow in end of my eye lid. Then I blend the pink on the rest of my eye lid and roll it with the glitter roller. Finish up with eyeliner and mascara. Then I put on my bubble-gum-pink lipstick and tone it down with lip gloss. There you have it......:)
On to the necklaces.
                                                                 EXHIBIT A

                                                                  EXHIBIT B

                                                                   EXHIBIT C
I got the yellow necklace at a thrift store this week and was trying to figure out what the best way to wear it would be. Please comment which exhibit you like best!
Happy Feminine Friday!!

Feminine Friday:Look-a-like Challenge

Hello friends. I'm almost in tears right now! I have humiliated myself into the very depths of despair. It wont do me any good to explain it to you tonight, but look for the tragic tale story soon.=(
Anyway,on a better note.....I asked you all to participate in a contest last week. To choose on of the pics and do a "look-a-like pic." I chose the picture from Dr. Quinn.
I was actually going to do Elizabeth Bennett, but that didn't work out so well.........

I'm sorry its hard to see the outfit, but its rather hard to take a picture with an ipod when you happen to be the photographer. OOOO Well..... You get the idea of what it looked like though right??

This was my attempt at Jane Seymour's facial expression........hmmmmmm.
And this is my Elizabeth Bennett hair.....Have you ever heard the Funky hat chant? About the bad hair day?? Well anyways, they say that Keira Knightly's hair is kind of messy like this sooooo.... this was my not so good attempt.
This is my award for this contest. I will get in touch with you if you when and will email you the award. You can put it on your blog!=) Hehe..Just let me know if you entered the contest. Oh,and I know its near impossible to get a post done every Friday. Believe me, I took my pic yesterday and am now posting them at 10:05 pm! But I would appreciate everyone's contest posts being on by tomorrow afternoon mkay? I hope everyone had fun with this!
Happy Friday!
