Christmas cookies

I was hungry inspired to bake some Christmas goodies the other day. I didn't have time to make anything homemade,so I just nabbed some Snicker doodle mix at the store,(along with Reese's pieces, red hots, and vanilla icing.) They were positively scrumptious! pretty too…..

Fall VBS

I was looking through my pictures yesterday and ran across these pics that I took at our Fall VBS a couple weeks ago.  I wanted to post them, just to give a glimpse of the bus ministry that has so stolen my heart. My church runs four buses and two vans and we go and pick the kids and adults up for Sunday morning service. It is a wonderful ministry. One that I hope I will always be a part of.

Our bus:) Bethany bus route: Bus #2

 A couple of my kids;)

 Again....
and again:) This boy is such a blessing! He never ceases to brighten my Sunday! By the way,he has the coolest name ever.....Johnny Wayne Curtis;)
This is our bus captain's wife. Such a godly example in my life!
And here she is:) The sweet lady that you have seen a couple times in other posts! We finally got a picture together!! I love this lady with all my heart! She has been such a blessing and godly example.
One of my bus kids took this of me. She did a pretty good job too!
The theme of our FVBS was "The Winning Team." I was suppose to dress as a referee. How'd I do?

Fashion from Pinterest!

Hi guys!
So, I have been having trouble figuring out how things work on this new computer. The "clicker" and the keys are a little different than on my mom's computer. ( Mine is a Mac book) I finally figured out how to get my Pinterest pictures in my pictures folder. Thanks to Yahoo Answers I was able to figure it out! Yay! So I bring you fashion from my Pinterest board The Wishing Wardrobe
I love this sweater!

I tried to copy this style at church one day. I love the colors!

 Simple but elegant
 Mustard yellow,navy, and polka dots!

I wish I could figure out how to pull this off!
Boots! Really want some new ones!

Remember I said I like watches?;) Chevron is my favorite pattern and anchors are the bomb lol.
Love this blazer!
Tomorrow I will be guest posting over at Daughter of the King!
Have a great night lovelies!

Zoo Trip

I have had these pictures for a long time but just haven't gotten around to posting them yet;)
My friend's birthday was in May and she brought us all to the zoo for the occasion! In the middle is me an Abby. On the outside right is my cousin Jessica and the left is the birthday girl,Jesse.  Me and Abby are the oldest, but sadly the shortest:'(
Regretfully, I didn't get many good pictures. The sun was very bright and the animals were more interested in sleeping than being photographed.

 Friends:)
 The sleeping Grizzly.
 Otter.
 The Giraffe's were the nicest;)
 Sage:) Ain't she a cutie??
Here is Jesse wearing her birthday tiara I got for her!

Next week I will be on a youth trip. When I get back,I am planning another giveaway!
Love,
Emily

Drab to Fab!

I finally got some fake TOMS:p
(Is it strange to be so excited over knock-offs?)
So of course I wound up with 2 shoe boxes. I can never throw them away! They can be used to keep me organized and store things. This time I decided to dress them up!
 Here are my boxes.
I chose my fabric...I stuck with an old flower sheet and this black and white fabric I didn't know we had!
I laid the top of the box out on the fabric and cut enough all the way around to sew to the inside of the box.

I did the same with the bottom. Then I ironed them.
I hot glued the edges to the insides of the box.
I wrapped the edges like you would wrapping paper on a gift.
So I had my box! The inside looked rough with all my glueing. Time for a lining!
I measured the fabric, cut it out, and then glued the folded ends together.
I did the same thing with the smaller box.
 My finished product:)
So fun! I will do this with all my shoe boxes from now on!
Have a great day!
